🎨 The Life of Van Gogh: A Timeless Spirit

Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890) was a brilliant painter who lived between passion and solitude, madness and creativity .

His life was short and full of suffering, but after his death his work was beloved the world over and had an enormous impact on art history.

🍼Childhood and youth (1853–1880)

He was born in 1853 to a pastor's family in the south of the Netherlands.

From an early age, he was a solitary boy who was interested in nature and the lives of farmers.

He once aspired to become an art dealer and a missionary, but neither endeavor lasted long and he gave up.



🖌️The path to becoming a painter (1880–1886)

He began to seriously study painting on his own at around the age of 27.

Primarily using charcoal pencil and dark tones, he depicts the lives of miners and peasants.

🇫🇷Paris period (1886–1888)

With the support of his younger brother Theo, he went to Paris, where he came into contact with the Impressionists and Japanese Ukiyo-e.

His sense of color changed dramatically, and he produced more bright and powerful works.

He met artists such as Gauguin and received artistic stimulation, but his sense of isolation also grew stronger.



☀️Arles period (1888–1889)

Moved to Arles in the south of France. Dreamed of a shared studio in the "Yellow House."

Her life with Gauguin fell apart, and she became mentally unstable.

After the "ear-cutting incident," he was admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

🏥Saint -Remy period (1889–1890)

He was admitted to a facility in Saint-Remy for psychiatric treatment.

Despite suffering from hallucinations and seizures, he continues to create energetically.

⚰️The End and After (1890)

In 1890, he moved to Auvers-sur-Oise, near Paris.

Due to financial and emotional stress, he committed suicide by gunfire (aged 37).

Although he sold very few paintings during his lifetime, his works were preserved for posterity by his brother Theo's wife, Yeo, and he is now known as "one of the most famous painters of all time."
