Development and evaluation
Promotion and demotion reviews normally take place every three months. Evaluation considers guest service, technical skills, studio duties, teamwork, initiative, responsibility and contribution to the studio.
Requirements for promotion
Grade 3 → Grade 2:Reliably and independently handle basic guest service, reception, explanations of designated activities, preparation and tidying. Honor shifts, report supply shortages and complete preparations for the next day.
Grade 2 → Grade 1:Independently run several workshops with consistent guest service and teaching quality. Explain tasks to new staff, support colleagues and take initiative to improve operations.
Grade 1 → Studio Manager:Responsibly handle studio operations, staff training, shifts, sales, supplies and quality control, coordination with head office, resolving problems and improving the studio.
Evaluation of attendance and work quality
Reviews cover confirmed shifts, lateness and absences, guest service and teaching quality, cleaning, preparation and tidying, reporting and communication, cooperation and work attitude. A same-day absence normally makes an employee ineligible for promotion review that month. Demotion is assessed comprehensively, including the nature and persistence of any issues.
Ongoing art study, creating personal artworks, preparing to provide basic guest service in English, creating social media content and improving operations are also considered when assessing ability and contribution.
